The junior Ruggerbeez class encourages core skills like balance, agility and co-ordination. At this age we believe it is important to begin developing social skills, and we promote these by encouraging girls and boys to share, take it turns and work together to complete certain bespoke activities and skills. The session is up to 1hr and we use a variety of child-friendly equipment ranging from foam rugby balls, canvas hopping laddes and soft kicking tees. |

The 3.5-5yrs Ruggerbeez class starts to introduce more rugby honed skillsets. Scoring trys, kicking at mock posts or targets and side-stepping encourage fun repetitive play sessions. We use midi size rugby balls for this class. Children get accustomed to the weight and feel of a proper ball. This session lasts for a duration of 1hr and parent participation is encouraged. |

For the older children we create fun tag rugby lessons. Tag Rugby is a non-contact team game in which each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags attached to it, or shorts with velcro patches. The mode of play is similar to rugby league with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier. Ideal for progression into the mini sections at London Scottish at the same time. |
