I am very impressed by Ruggerbeez. I've been taking my son to a different kids rugby session and although he's always enjoyed it, I have been looking for something with a little more structure. And Ruggerbeez delivers.
We spent a very happy and fun morning on Wandsworth Common, with Tom's energies being directed channelled nicely towards learning to kick, catch, throw, all the basic rugby skills. And the number of dedicated coaches really helped in giving the kids (and parents!)
one-2-one tuition.

Richard Whincup, Physical Activity Consultant.
These days, modern life can mean that we re a lot less active. With so many opportunities to watch TV or play computer games, and with so much convenience and fast food available, we don t move about as much, or eat as well as we used to. Which means that 9 out of 10 kids today could grow up with dangerous amounts of fat in their bodies. This can cause life-threatening diseases like cancer, type 2 diabetes and heart disease - so it’s really important that we do something about it.” – Change 4 Life
Ruggerbeez is a fantastic idea. It works towards government targets set out in strategies such as ‘Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives’, ‘Choosing Health’ and ‘A Sporting Future for London’. Ruggerbeez also supports the government’s Change4Life campaign, offering children a means to work towards their target of 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
Ruggerbeez is helping to get children more active, have fun, improve their health and learn many key skills such as leadership, teamwork and fair play which can help them in later life.

There are numerous reasons why i feel sport is important for kids of all ages but the one that sticks out for me, is that it gives everyone a smile on their face. Often kids complain/cry about life at home, school etc but sport always gives you a sense of enjoyment. Whether its scoring a try or hitting a 4 it will always make you happy and that continues all the through from grassroots level right the way to professional sport.
The rugby side allows kids to be active. Parents know that when their child is out playing rugby, they are having fun, making friends and perhaps nurturing their competitive edge. Its certainly better than being indoors playing on playstation!
